Beaufort County Animal Services
volunteer
You can help our shelter animals in need.
The Beaufort County Animal Campus is always in need of volunteers. Volunteers are an important and valued part of our team. If you are interested in volunteering, the requirements below must be met:
- Must pass a background check and fill out a Volunteer Service Agreement.
- If you are under 16 years of age, a parent or guardian must be present at all times.
Once a background check has been approved and the Volunteer Service Agreement has been filled out, you can start volunteering! What can you expect when volunteering at our facility?
- Volunteer hours are Monday-Saturday from 8am-5pm.
For safety purposes, we have a dress code that must be abided by to volunteer:
- Long pants
- Closed-toed shoes
- We recommend wearing older clothes. Volunteering can be a dirty job!
Volunteers help with feeding, cleaning the animals’ pens and cages, and laundry, as well as with walking dogs, baths, training, and play time.
