10 Oct What Exactly Does Our “Reduced Intake” Mean?
One of the bigger accomplishments of this past fiscal year has been our decrease in intake at the shelter. Five years ago, our intake was at a height of 4,983 animals. This past year, our intake came out to 3,276 animals. This was huge for us! If you do the math, (which we did for you) we have reduced our intake by 34% in 5 years! This includes animals being surrendered, seized, returned, or transferred as well as stray animals. This also accounts for all different species, from dogs to pythons. How does this affect you? Lower admissions into our shelters means we can take care of more animals, meaning lower euthanasia costs, which directly correlates to tax dollar savings.Make A Donation Today
